Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have graduated from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program and hold a current license/permit as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas. In addition, the candidate must have at least 1 year of experience in Med/Surg or LTAC settings.
The LVN will be responsible for providing quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. This position requires a high level of clinical expertise and the ability to work well under pressure. The LVN will work a 4:3 rotating schedule on day shift, providing care to patients with a variety of medical conditions.
The candidate must also hold a current AHA BLS certification and be IV Therapy Certified. This is a requirement for the position and must be maintained throughout employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with procedures
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures
Qualifications:
- Graduation from a Licensed Vocational Nurse Program
- Current license/permit as a vocational nurse in the State of Texas
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Med/Surg or LTAC settings
- Current AHA BLS certification
- IV Therapy Certification
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
